Thank you Mary for your support and your kind words. We may compete in the marketplace but we do so honestly and with mutual respect. Most of the nurseries in Houston are operated by honest, hardworking nurseryman like yourself. Sadly, I can't say that about the nursery that is behind the negative and false comments.

I believe this nursery is outstanding in service, quality, and quantity. There's always a friendly staff waiting and wanting to help customers. They have everything you need here. Keep up the good work!

As the owner of PFAS#1 I welcome comments from people that actually visit my store and are truthful. We haven't had any comments posted in well over a year and then all in one day 3 terribly negative comments. Obviously a concerted effort to hurt this nurseries good reputation and sabotage our ratings yesterday. Please read the comments that proceed those 3 from real people that weren't "instructed".

Uhhg, I have never been treated the way I was yesterday. The staff acted like they were doing me a favor letting me shop at their store. I am sorry if I dont know exactly what I need but that is why I go to the "Professionals" for a little advise. Well dont bother here, they looked at me as though I had leprosy. I will never go back to PFAS again!

I went into this nursery not long ago, I do not know what people see in this nursery. Their quality, pricing, and variety is all less than marginal, not to mention their location is not convenient what so ever. A friendly employee does not do much good when you do not have the product to sell. I prefer to shop were I can buy everything I need at one place with much better prices, so I will definitely not waste my time at plants for all seasons again.

Love them! I buy everything I need from them - I live in an apartment and buy all my plants and rose soil from them, their staff is great, always knowledgable and will answer any question that I have. They are great.

Love PFAS!!! Staff is sooo nice and knowledgeable--always eager to help. They have taught me so much. I must say--I do love the other PFAS, but I also must say service is better at PFAS/249. This is based on several visits to both!

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff! The plant selection they have is amazing! Lots of neat plants to choose from, which for me have been hard to find before. I instantly fell in love with this place on the first visit. I will definately be shopping here from now on.

I'm new to the area and am so glad I found Plants For All Seasons! The plant selection is fabulous and the prices are very good. The staff is incredible. They always smile and greet customers when they come in and they wander through the nursery making sure everyone can find everything they need. They are friendly and courteous and so knowledgable. I absolutely love going to PFAS. It feels very warm and hospitable...a place you want to be.

Plants for all seasons is the best nursery in houston. They are so organized and structured. You always find what you need without wandering around for hours. They have the best staff!!!! They are always so friendly and professional. This is one of the few mom and pop nurseries around that still is successful and thriving. Thank you for sticking it out and being the best!!!!!!

Love PFAS. Employees very knowledgable and responsive. I remember once I was asking if they carried a ground cover in a 4 inch pot (they just had the one gallon size at this time), and I didn't even ask if they could get it in the 4 inch pot, but the next time I was in the store it showed up in the 4 inch pot size. I'm sure after my inquiry, they made an effort to locate what I had been looking for.

I have never seen such a selection of vegetables at a nursery as what Plants has. I found every variety that I was looking for in tomatoes plus so much more. I left with way more than what I had intended, as is usual when I visit here. By far my favorite nursery.
Kudos!

No kidding! I know 5 people by name at PFAS: Victor, Kelly, Shelly, Matt, and Cody; and all of them recognize and greet me when I come in. How many people do you know at Lowes?

"All the comments made for Plants For All Seasons are important to help me realize what we are doing well and what we do poorly. I know we have a weakness in the "edibles" category. Our history and focus has been on ornamental plants. Suddenly, there is a big movement towards growing your own food. Clayton's comments will make us a better place to shop in the future. I am excited for the opportunity to be a better nursery. Thanks to everyone for their praise and their criticisms. Victor Flaherty Owner Plants For All Seasons on Hwy 249 "

The rootstocks of their citrus are 'Sour Orange', which unfortuneately means root rot and early death for trees planted in the groud. I bought 4 last year, and they did very poorly compared to the trees on trifoliate or flying dragon rootstocks. Their prices are good though, ~$30 per tree, which is perfect for pot culture. The rootstocks aren't labeled, but the staff will be happy to call their supplier for you if you ask. They don't carry a very wide selection of vegetable seeds, but they have good transplants that are ~$1 cheaper per plant than the Arbor Gate. To be fair, the Arbor Gate has a wider selection (especially of herbs). I didn't look at the transplant prices at RCW, but if their fruit tree prices are any indication, they're probably even more expensive.

This is my favorite nursery, even though they're not always the most knowledgeable (about fruit trees/plants) and don't carry everything I need. If they don't have it, they'll try to get it. If they can't get it, they'll try to tell me where I can. If they don't know the answer to my question, they'll be honest about it and say they don't know. They haven't tried to sell me junk I don't need. They try to carry Houston adapted varieties of fruits and vegetables (i.e. the ambrosia cantaloupe). They also now sell 'Houston Mulch', which is the best mulch to put on your trees (if fully composted).

PLUS, the owner said he will soon start carrying Dr. Bob Randall's book "Year Round Vegetables, Fruits and Flowers for Metro Houston", which is the definitive guide for growing fruits and vegetables in this area. Hopefully Plants for All Seasons will begin carrying more of the varieties recommended by Dr. Randall.

Thank you for the "Yankee" comment! I am from Michigan and "plants for all seasons" is the only place that will even take the time to answer my questions. I know what you mean about the soil. What soil? You sure won't get this kind of customer service at Lowes. They're all about "show me the money"!

"I am a Yankee trying to figure out what Houston calls soil. Plants for all Seasons has always taken the time to explain what will grow and how to keep the plants in beautiful shape. I have tried several other plant places but these folks are the ones that have helped me to understand the conditions here and make my garden presentable. Thank you for helping to make the move to the South a good one."

This is specifically for : Plants for all Seasons located at 21328 SH 249/ houston ,texas

I LOVE this nursery! Their selestion and quality are outstanding! I have "spring fever" big time so I was there yesterday to scope out their selections and hit the jackpot- I found the most adorable ceramic monkey that hangs with a chain and bought it for my husband because for he years after any time I've gone shopping he always asks me "did you bring me a monkey?" when I get home. That made his day yesterday! I had to go back today because I saw the most gorgeous metal butterflys for outdoor mounting purposes and HAD to have one for my backyard. Correction: I couldn't leave with just one. I bought 2! And what great prices! Their gift selection as well as outdoor goodies are always unique and very affordable! They are located 10 miles South of where I live and I go out of my way to shop there. Even at Christmas time! Plants for all Seasons makes it very easy and VERY fun to do my small part to stimulate the economy! I'm counting the days until I can buy living, beautiful plants there! And if you're an orchid fan, they have the most gorgeous orchid plants!!! I can't forget to mention the fun gals that took care of me yesterday and today- They're the best! Don't pass this nursery up- you'll really miss out!
